The power of positivity

For years I've been angry. Not my normal state of mind at all. But decisions, ultimately made by me, though not always with my best interest in mind plopped me down in a place where all I could feel was discontent. I actually don't remember the last time I felt really happy. Free. Light. On Sunday I woke up at my farm in the south of Sweden and I just decided I was done. I was done with being angry. Done with feeling pissed off most of the time. I had the best day I've had in a really long time and I laughed as my friend and I walked our usual Sunday morning walk instead of complaining. It was so liberating! Today, Tuesday, I feel like a different person, or rather, the person I used to be. "Mind over Matter" has always been a sort of mantra of mine but I clearly didn't abide by it the past few years.

The power of Pink

I was out shopping on Saturday and found this amazing pink blouse on sale (#andotherstories). The color of the M&M's above here. I loved it and I knew I had to have it. Pink makes me feel happy. It's a really weird color to have that effect on people. I know it's not just me...So, yesterday as I got up, I already knew I had to wear it. I paired it with a fuchsia cashmere sweater and just about floated to the office. Never underestimate the power of pink! I mean, LOOK AT IT! It makes you smile, doesn't it?! Even before I left our home in LA, before I went through the rabbit hole, I knew I would be updating the farm and making it more colorful. It was if my soul was screaming out for colors both in my homes and in my wardrobe. My colleague came in to the office on Monday and had gone through a similar epiphany and her mantra is: "change everything!". Sounds good to me!

Positive results

Your attitude determines the state of the world you live in. It is the foundation for every success and every failure you have had and will have. It will make you or break you.

Your attitude controls your life. But the good news? You control your attitude.

Attitude creates the way you feel about people and situations. Your actions are a result of your attitude—which in turn creates a reaction from others.

It is your attitude toward others and the universe that determines the resulting attitude toward you. Have a positive, joyful attitude and you’ll have positive, joyful results. Put out a bad, negative attitude and you’ve failed before you begin.

Basically, what you think is you get.

I know it sounds simple, but, the truth is, it is!
